Confession: I've never been a fan of Harry Potter. That being said, I LOVE (read: take great pleasure) in making fun of HP. The newest Harry Potter and the hallows of the prince with half-snape- or whatever they're calling it these days - is trying to rip off the running through the woods with the vamp glamour of "Twilight." Ironically, Twilight hottie Rob Pattinson played Harry's school chum Cederic back in the day- or so I was informed.
Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are running through the forest, with possible blood splatter. See a photo and discussion of the poster on MTV's movie site here.
In other twilight/hp news, check out Jimmy Fallon's spoof videos here, where "Rob" and "Daniel" both verbally attack each other's films.
welcome

A Note About Moonlight
Back in the 2007-2008 TV season, CBS was ahead of the TWILIGHT craze with a show called "Moonlight." Private detective Mick St. James was the ultimate cool, and much like a former vampire private detective, Angel.
Moonlight was hot, intense, and tragically pulled after 16 episodes. Maybe the world wasn't ready for vampire mania at the time. (Over 6 months before the Twilight movie opened).
Image my delight and surprise when flipping channels tonight, I found Moonlight on the CW. (WB)/CW has decided to resurrect and air Moonlight episodes after The Vampire Diaries for the summer!
On a side note, I do love Vamp. Diaries, and have been remiss on keeping up with the season. Luckily, season 1 comes out on DVD at the end of August.
I jumped in tonight to episode 6 of Moonlight, where Mick uncovered a former flame of best friend Josif, (the wonderful Jason Dohring from Veronica Mars) that was killing other vampires and using their blood as a drug that kills humans if they ingest too much silver-yuck!
What a perfect match up. I see a lot of parallels between Vamp. Diaries and Moonlight (and of course Buffy): a young girl, an old guy with a past he's not proud of and the ability to kill her if he gets too close. It's a never-ending an irresistible plot line. Can't wait to re-watch more Moonlight!
And to see Eclipse tomorrow... can't wait!
This entry is for CR for putting up with all my vampire talk.

A Note About Eclipses, Promotions, and Adorableness
I love Twilight. Now I know what you're thinking, one of those people chasing the stars through the street and grabbing locks of Robert Pattison's gorgeous hair. Hmm, I do love his hair. Now I'm also the first to point out inaccuracies in the movies and corny dialogue etc... but yes, I am a Twilight saga fan.
The big "Eclipse of the Heart" episode of Jimmy Kimmel was on this evening. P.S. -genius marketing strategy for the episode. And the sets designed to look like Forks were oddly unique, but reminiscent of the recent "LOST" themed episode of Jimmy.
There always seems to be some slighted members of interviews. Where were Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone in this "cast interview??? As Edward's brothers, cast members of every movie, and pretty important members of the story, they were mysteriously absent. I love all of the other cast members, and it was interesting to see the "volturi" members included such as Dakota Fanning and the extremely sweet Xavier Samuel.
Why do the townspeople of forks rarely get their due diligence in promotion? Where were the talented actors that play Jessica, Angela, Eric and the perpetually sad Mike Newton. And where was Billy Burke, who plays Bella's father, Chief Charlie Swan?
Marketing aspects aside, I got to see another side of Peter Facinelli on tonight's show. He is so sweet, and a very likable and engaging conversationalist. And he looks so hot, without that horrible blond dye they make him put in his hair as Dr. Cullen. Did anyone else ever realize he could pass for the brother of Mark Feuerstein from Royal Pains?
And surprisingly, there was a lack of awkward conversation between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in this interview, which was refreshing. Rob, as always, was adorable (gotta love that accent and his somewhat trimmed mussed up locks). And as much as I don't feel any attraction toward Taylor, he seemed really sweet when talking about the promotional tour for the movie.
And to top it off, they had a great "Jersey Shore" spoof of the Twilight movie, complete with Mike "the situation" flashing his sparkling abs and trying to "get his tan on".
